What does it mean to flourish?

Webster's Unabridged Dictionary gives us a few definitions.

1. To thrive; to grow luxuriantly; to increase and enlarge, as a healthy growing plant. 
2. To be prosperous; to increase in wealth or honor.
3. To grow in grace and in good works; to abound in the consolations of religion.

Psalm 92 sums it up beautifully; 

"The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree,

He (or she) shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

Those who are planted in the house of the Lord

Shall flourish in the courts of our God.. (Psalms 92:12-13).
